Blustery March

Wow. It's a blustery March. Today is the 19th and just 3 days ago we were in t-shirts/blouses. But it was a 2 day deal. It's supposed to rain for the next 4 days. Today we have strong winds.

Rode my bicycle about 20 miles a couple days ago. I rode along the Calaveras River to Buckley Cove and back through the University of the Pacific campus.

A friend treated us to breakfast yesterday at Midtown Creperie. I had a wonderful breakfast omelet with salmon, tomatoes, spinach and mozarella cheese. We followed our brunch with a chocolate dessert crepe. I give the cafe a 5 star rating!
Wow .. where has the time gone?

Enjoyed my first opera, "La Boheme" at the University of the Pacific in Stockton! Thanks to an ex-colleague for the wonderful invite!

Looking forward to the "La Boheme" opera at University of the Pacific as a gift from a friend.

New Laundry Machines

The old machines finally wore out. The washer wouldn't spin the water anymore. So we bought a new front loading washer and dryer. They're awesome.

A cool feature is a chime when the machine(s) is finished. Problem is, I can't hear it from the living room or kitchen. So when I do laundry, I stay in the study in order to hear the chime.

It's great to have a machine large enough to wash the comforters! And the dryer has a rack that I can place a sweater on for drying. Neat!

I haven't posted anything on here in a long time. I forget that I have this blog.

I just got over bronchitis and the flu when my friend visited from Fairbanks, Alaska. She was a sight for sore eyes! After her 10 day visit, my best friend drove us to Yosemite (I don't drive anymore since my brain aneursym).

Yosemite was absolutely beautiful!! We hiked to the base of one of the waterfalls. I don't remember which one. And yes, the waterfalls were in abundance this time of year. We've had so much snow this season! Of course, we never see any in the San Joaquin valley. Which is why we go to the foothills or the Sierra Nevadas once in a blue moon to see snow. I've never really been around it. C'est la vie.

On another note, had to buy a new washer and dryer after my 12 year old machines quit on me. I enjoy having the new machines!

Last night one of my cats kept pouncing on the newspaper on the floor. Decided to see what was exciting him. When I moved the paper, a foot long centipede crawled out and under the couch!! After moving the couch and vacuuming at 11pm, we never found the buggah! My back is sore this morning from moving the couch. And now I don't even want to sit on the thing! I'll take the recliner.

Brain Aneurysm Survivor

I am a Brain Aneurysm Survivor.

Tomorrow I may have forgotten that I set up this blog. And I may not post anything else for some time to it. That is now my life.

While I am not new to computers, I am new to "blogging". So I will attempt to do something with this site.
